I first qualified as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, and was Principal Clinical Psychologist in a department of psychology and psychological therapies at a London N.H.S. hospital for nearly 12 years. l then trained as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Lincoln Clinic and Centre for Psychotherapy,as well as The London Centre for Psychotherapy, during which time l helped set up , as Consultant Psychotherapy Specialist, the N.H.S. Epping Forest Adult Psychotherapy Service, where l worked for 16 years. In addition to more intensive longer –term individual psychotherapy, I offer Brief Analytic Adult Psychotherapy and Mentalisation-Based Treatment. I have taught trainee psychiatrists, psychologists, and G.P.s about the Therapeutic Relationship, and have been in private psychotherapy practice for individuals and couples for over 20 years.
